Put 1 kg of peeled and chopped potatoes with 3 dl of water and a little salt in a large pan. Place 500 g of sauerkraut and a smoked sausage on top of the potatoes and let it boil gently for 30 minutes. Then remove the smoked sausage from the pan. Mash the potatoes and the sauerkraut and mix in this mix, a dash of milk and a knob of butter. Let it heat up well on low heat. Serve with the smoked sausage.
