About the manufacturer
Brand Hero ‘The Original’ Cassis is a traditional Dutch product that has been made by Hero since 1938. Just like in 1938, the blackcurrants for Hero ‘The Original’ Cassis still come from the fertile Zeeland clay soil. After harvesting, they are de-stemmed, bruised and pressed. After that, part of the berries are subjected to a natural fermentation process (fermentation) in which hidden odor and taste components are released. This is where Hero ‘The Original’ cassis owes its full, round taste.
